how to style: boots

Does anyone else get as excited about boot season as much as I do? When it comes to boots there are so many styles which can cause you feeling overwhelmed. Not to worry- I got you.

I would have to say that my excitement is evenly distributed between boots, textures, browns, burgundy, sweaters, suede, coats..and just overfall fall style in general. A lot goes into selecting a great boot, especially a classic style that can be worn more than one season. While of course there will always be the trendy styles, heels, and designs, when it comes to investing, classic is best. The style of the boot; toe, heel, and height are taken into consideration when styling an outfit. When working with my clients, I always give pointers when styling boots with pants and jeans. For example, a wide leg pant should be styled with a pointed toe boot or shoe (not a round toe)- this way it elongates your leg. Personally, I have been gravitating toward slight barrel leg denim with a pointy toe boot. I am also looking forward to styling knee high suede boots with satin midi skirts and chunky knits.
